Gibson/Magerfield Corp. was formed in 1977 and operated under the name of Home Preservation, Inc. from 1977 until 1985. D. Jameson Gibson, Jr. and James A. Magerfield established the corporation for the professional practice of general contracting.
Gibson/Magerfield Corp. is a Central Virginia custom builder dedicated to craftsmanship. It is the policy of this organization to utilize personnel and subcontractors who exhibit the highest degree of quality in their work and who are most suitable for a specific progject.
Preservation of historic buildings has been an area of specialization for many years. Gibson/Magerfield Corp. is well known for its highly skilled craftsmen and attention to detail, a trait that carries over into the construction of new custom homes as well.
